Well, That Was Interesting – and Not In A Good Way

To start at the end, I have COVID. I have COVID and we are in a hotel in Pittsburgh. I feel much, much better than yesterday when the test said I didn’t have COVID. After Michele got it and I didn’t, I began to think I was immune. It turns out I’m not. Shit! .

The cheapest and fastest way out of this mess is probably to drive home, so, that could be an upside. I called both my General Practitioner and Pulmonologist to get prescription for PAXLOVID and it is now almost seven o’clock in the Bay Area and nobody has called me back which sort of bums me out. I did talk to one of my Cardiologists’ assistants and she reviewed the medicines I should cut back on when I start taking PAXLOVID and the list is long. Maybe I’ll skip it

More info to follow, in the meanwhile, here are a couple pics.

  1. I’m so sorry you got covid. I’ve been feeling optimistic that some of us really are immune. Maybe we’ve just been lucky. I hope you feel better soon. At least D.C. gave you nice weather.

  2. Bummer, Steve but, yeah, no one’s immune, I fear. The good news [for me] is that this was the first post since you left home that had any images but then when I went back they showed up; what a road trip! I kept thinking you were saving them until you got back…
    Get better, safe travels home…
