OK, this is not a picture of Salt Lake City, I’ll come back to Salt Lake City later – and, from what we’ve seen, it is well worth coming back to – when I have a little more time. This is the view from our room yesterday morning in Bluff. The picture below is the view from our room this morning. They should help to explain why I haven’t been blogging.
Looks very peaceful. We all need more of that.
It is peaceful Linda, and stunning.
Forgive my ignorance but isn’t Salt Lake City the heart of Mormon
country? I recall wonderful movies. Are Mormons driving their
horsecarts there now? What a great name Bluff is. And thanks as always for the wonderful photos.
Hi Marion, Salt Lake is the Capitol but the Mormons sent Saints out to colonize areas around Salt Lake. Bluff is a small town – probably less than 500 people – that was founded in 1880 after an almost impossibly hard trip from Escalante Utah by a group of about 320 Saints. Reportedly, over 25% of the residents of Bluff have advanced degrees. The second picture is in Boulder Utah, one of Michele and my favorite places on Earth.
Having just spent a couple weeks in that area, I’m reminded of it’s beauty. But nonetheless happy to return to all these trees blocking the views.
